Laminating the NC Stem

The stem is precut in the kit and laminating with extra layers of to get the final thickness before beveling and mounting on the strongback.

Bending the Garboard

The first plank is the garboard and often the most challenging. But from a kit everything jus fits!

Planked

Planking is done and turn over is close. This is the time to install the outer stem and prefinish the outside of the boat with primer and a waterline, if you choose.

Attaching rubrails

Lift off

Much of the set up goes with the boat: the bulkheads act as both the molds, but they stay in the boat to form the transverse structure.

Turned over

Interior seats and tank tops placed and test fit. You can see the centerboard is also included in the set up which makes it easy.
